School Days....

I survived my first week of school. I have 5 weeks of clinicals at Intermountain Hospital which is a mental health facility, my next 5 weeks are at the hospital and the last 5 weeks are my preceptorship. I have one lecture class and 2 online classes. It will be a tough semester, but so worth it in the end. I am home this weekend and we are getting Katie ready for school. We just got a letter from her teacher and found out the 1st grade teachers are doing an open house the day before the first day of school. I am glad because since I will miss the first day of school :( I can go to the open house and see her desk and classroom and meet her teacher. I won't get back to Idaho till like 11pm, but it is so worth it. She is excited, but I think meeting the teacher and seeing her class will really help with the first day jitters. Katie also has her first day of soccer practice Tues so it will be a big day with the first day of school and soccer. I hope she enjoys is all. She is such a sweetheart (when she isn't testing my patience) and she is getting so great about the drive between states. She only asks about 3 times per trip if we are close yet. It will be an interesting next 15 weeks, but Dean is the best dad ever and I think he and Katie will have fun without mom around. She always says 'but mom' and I say 'my name isn't but-mom' because she is always arguing with me. I am sure her and 'let her have her way dad' will do great when I am at school. Times like this make us appreciate what we have. Talk to everyone later :)

Hawaii Pictures

I finally have som pictures to post from Hawaii. We had a blast and I hopefully I picked pics that eveyone enjoys, not just me because I was there! This first one is at the steamy volcano.
The road to Hana...beautiful, but dangerous!
Dean ate Octopus at the Laua....nasty.....he said it was chewey...yuk!
Getting our moneys worth in drinks :) The blue one was yummy.
Laua again....
The banyon tree

My favorite fish when we snorkeled. The camera worked great :)

Dean loved snorkeling and trying to dive.

We were at the front of the boat and it was a bit breezy and wet up there!!! We had the best time and loved every second of it!

The poor people who didn't like the wind and water, we were having a blast!

The turtles were so graceful and big....didn't care we were all there. Very cool!

More fish....

This is where we snorkeled the first day.
Our first night there, right after our flight we had to go to the beach. You can't tell, but we are at the beach and the water had just crashed into our feet....
Getting ready to leave. My mom got us the best shirts. Mine said 'will sell husband for wine' and Dean's said 'will sell wife for beer' It was SO fun wearing them on the flight. We got so many compliments and I couldn't stop smiling :)

Feeling behind...

Hello. I wanted to post quickly and say that more posts will come soon. Dean and I had a perfect trip to Hawaii, while Katie had a blast with family and friends in Idaho. It was a long 10 days that we were gone, but it all went great. I will post some pictures soon of the trip. Katie and I are leaving Monday the 24th for the week. I start school that week and she will hang out with me until she starts Sept 1st. I can't believe I have to miss her first day of school, but I am sure Dean and Katie will fill me in on all the details :) I am scared and excited to get this last semester of school underway. Well, all is well, oh ya - we found a different person to watch Katie and I feel better about this one. I had to trust my mommy-gut instinct and change to this lady. Katie is really excited and I think it will be good :) Take care and talk to you soon!

Katie Swimming

My attempt to load a video.....

If this works, this is our girl showing off her swimming skills

New Camera

Oopps....the zoom was on!

Trying to take our picture.....
Tada~~

So I maybe don't have it all figured out seeing as how we are sideways!!!!

Here is my little lady posing for the camera!

My wonderful husband got us a new camera for our upcoming trips and we were so excited to try it out so here are some pics. The really exciting part is that it is waterproof...I had a hard time dunking our brand new digital cam in the pool today, but so far so good. The pool is being drained to be cleaned so it was cloudy today and I didn't feel like getting my head in the water so I just held it under and took pictures of Katie swimming.

I am very hopeful that with this new camera it will be easier for me to place picture on here, as I have really struggled. I am sure they are too large, but I am not sure how to correct that and this new camera has a Blog feature...so here goes.

Here is our big girl swimming!! We are so proud of her :)
