New stuff
Hello friends and family
We have made it through 3 weeks of my school and 2 weeks of Katie's school. We got a letter saying that they will be adding another 1st grade class (right now they have 3) by the end of the month. They will divide up the 3 classes to make the class sizes smaller. They should end up with about 19ish per class instead of of 24ish. We don't know if Katie will be moved yet, but Dean and I are guessing she will be. She has been getting in trouble for talking, imagine that, but the letter nicely said the 3 current teachers would meet to divide up the students so that the class will be evenly balanced. We figure Katie's current teacher will be quick to move her along, but we will find out soon. Other than the talking and consequences of that, she is enjoying school. She is also doing well at her new daycare and likes the girls there. Katie left her backpack at school today and her babysitter was super nice and drove her back to school to get it. Here is some pictures Dean took on the first day.
Dean has been really busy with work because it is harvest. To compound the normal harvest rush, it is the first harvest at the new plant, so they are really busy since they are working out all the new kinks. He has been doing an amazing job with Katie and she is really enjoying the quality time she is getting with dad. They have their routine down and I am so happy they are doing so well. Dean came to Boise for some work he needed to do and we traded in our enduro motorcycles for a new street bike for him. I think he really likes it and we felt it made more sense to pay for something that would actually get used instead of take up space in the garage. Here is some pictures of the new bike. They gave us a helmet for Katie when we got the bike and she loves to ride with dad. We haven't taken her out of the neighborhood yet, and she seems upset about that, but I am not sure what she would think about going on the 'big roads' as we call them.

Katie's first soccer game is tomorrow so I will post some pictures of that later this weekend. I think that is all the new information we have for now. Oh ya, when Dean came to Boise a lady from his work stayed at the house with Katie and it went really great. We are also making friends with a family up the street. They have a daughter in 1st grade and on Katie's soccer team. The mom picks up Katie and takes her to soccer for us and their son took care of the cats when we went to Hawaii. It is nice to be making some friends! Bye for now!

School Days....
I survived my first week of school. I have 5 weeks of clinicals at Intermountain Hospital which is a mental health facility, my next 5 weeks are at the hospital and the last 5 weeks are my preceptorship. I have one lecture class and 2 online classes. It will be a tough semester, but so worth it in the end. I am home this weekend and we are getting Katie ready for school. We just got a letter from her teacher and found out the 1st grade teachers are doing an open house the day before the first day of school. I am glad because since I will miss the first day of school :( I can go to the open house and see her desk and classroom and meet her teacher. I won't get back to Idaho till like 11pm, but it is so worth it. She is excited, but I think meeting the teacher and seeing her class will really help with the first day jitters. Katie also has her first day of soccer practice Tues so it will be a big day with the first day of school and soccer. I hope she enjoys is all. She is such a sweetheart (when she isn't testing my patience) and she is getting so great about the drive between states. She only asks about 3 times per trip if we are close yet. It will be an interesting next 15 weeks, but Dean is the best dad ever and I think he and Katie will have fun without mom around. She always says 'but mom' and I say 'my name isn't but-mom' because she is always arguing with me. I am sure her and 'let her have her way dad' will do great when I am at school. Times like this make us appreciate what we have. Talk to everyone later :)
Hawaii Pictures
We were at the front of the boat and it was a bit breezy and wet up there!!! We had the best time and loved every second of it!
The poor people who didn't like the wind and water, we were having a blast!

Feeling behind...
Hello. I wanted to post quickly and say that more posts will come soon. Dean and I had a perfect trip to Hawaii, while Katie had a blast with family and friends in Idaho. It was a long 10 days that we were gone, but it all went great. I will post some pictures soon of the trip. Katie and I are leaving Monday the 24th for the week. I start school that week and she will hang out with me until she starts Sept 1st. I can't believe I have to miss her first day of school, but I am sure Dean and Katie will fill me in on all the details :) I am scared and excited to get this last semester of school underway. Well, all is well, oh ya - we found a different person to watch Katie and I feel better about this one. I had to trust my mommy-gut instinct and change to this lady. Katie is really excited and I think it will be good :) Take care and talk to you soon!

Katie Swimming
My attempt to load a video.....
If this works, this is our girl showing off her swimming skills
New Camera
Trying to take our picture.....
Tada~~
So I maybe don't have it all figured out seeing as how we are sideways!!!!

Here is our big girl swimming!! We are so proud of her :)
My wonderful husband got us a new camera for our upcoming trips and we were so excited to try it out so here are some pics. The really exciting part is that it is waterproof...I had a hard time dunking our brand new digital cam in the pool today, but so far so good. The pool is being drained to be cleaned so it was cloudy today and I didn't feel like getting my head in the water so I just held it under and took pictures of Katie swimming.
I am very hopeful that with this new camera it will be easier for me to place picture on here, as I have really struggled. I am sure they are too large, but I am not sure how to correct that and this new camera has a Blog feature...so here goes.
Here is our big girl swimming!! We are so proud of her :)
